About Us
We Have Been At It Since The 40's
1940's

The story began back in Avon, Ohio in the early 40’s when Raymond B. Diederich (known as Poppi) was a little boy. Ray worked for his Dad, Raymond A. Diederich on the farm growing and picking apples, tomatoes and several other fruits and vegetables. His Mom and Dad would sell their fresh picked produce and berries to Boyardee and at the Lakewood Market.

1964

When Ray moved to Michigan in 1964, he had farming in his blood and as a hobby would always grow vegetables to sell. Ray would send his boys Scott and Rodney door to door to sell vegetables pulling a little red wagon. The locals referred to them as “My Little Vegetable Boys”. Ray always desired a farm of his own and while living in Highland Michigan he came across a 13-acre farm in Webberville Michigan, today known as Diederich’s Berry and Produce Farm. Ray purchased the home at 3537 Morrice Road, Webberville for his family and sold their home grown produce and strawberries from a picnic table in the front yard. As both the garden and family size grew, they expanded their sales to include local Farmer’s Markets. The farm has always been a family operation and has grown considerably over the years.

1992

In 1992 they built a Farm Market Barn at the farm where they sold “Our Own” homegrown produce.

2020

In 2020 an additional barn was built for the expanding Strawberry Production.

2021

In 2021 a new Farm Market Barn was built at 3537 E. Grand River, Williamston, Michigan where they will sell “Our Own” home grown fruits and produce. Today there is a very busy U-Pick and We-Pick Strawberry season as well as a very busy Homegrown Produce season! Growing quality fruits and vegetables for your dinner table has always been the focus.
